📝 Overview & Benefits

The scheme provides free-of-cost remedial coaching to selected students. The coaching aims to help eligible students who are weak in studies to achieve higher grades/marks in English, Mathematics, and Science subjects. The duration of the coaching program for each class is 6 months.

Mode of Disbursement: Fund will be released to the Coaching Centres (CC) as cost for conducting coaching classes.

Frequency of Disbursement: The fund will be released in installments.

The first installment, amounting to 40% of the cost, will be released in advance upon commencement of classes after signing a contract agreement with the Implementing Agency.

The second installment, amounting to 40% of the cost, will be released upon utilisation of 90% of the first installment of funds and continuation of coaching of at least 90% of the initial number of beneficiary students enrolled after completion of two months of the course.

The third installment, amounting to 10% of the cost, will be released upon completion of the course and after assessment of the quality of the coaching classes as satisfactory, based on measured feedback from the students, to be made by the Implementing Agency.

The final installment of 10% of the cost will be released after at least 80% of the beneficiary students taking their final academic assessment examination in their respective schools have cleared the same.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

For Coaching Centres:

The applicant should be a Government school, a private school recognised by the State Government, or a registered private coaching centre.

The applicant should have at least 3 classrooms, each with a minimum 40-student capacity.

The applicant should have sufficient toilets, safe & hygienic drinking water facilities, an adequate number of benches and desks, functional fans, functional electricity connections and a good lighting system.

The applicant should provide an adequate number of qualified teachers for each subject for all classes for which coaching is to be provided.

The applicants should have excellent teachers who possess at least a graduate degree in the subject for which he/she is assigned to teach.

The applicant should designate a Centre Coordinator and Peon-cum-Chowkidar.

The applicant should prepare a course calendar and ensure monthly student progress reports.




Note: For Students:

The applicant should be studying in Classes 8 to 10 under BOSEM.

The applicant should belong to a minority, OBC, or SC community.

The applicant should be academically weak.

Preference / Reservation / Relaxation:

At least 30% of the seats are reserved for girl students.

Girl students who do not get seats under the reserved 30% will still be considered under the remaining 70% open category.

Step 1: The application form, including the detailed information and criteria for empanelment, can be downloaded from the website or collected physically from the Scheme Officer (Coaching) / MOBEDS at the Directorate of Welfare for OBC &SC and Directorate of Minority Affairs, Manipur, 1st Floor, Secured Office Complex, South Block, AT Lines, North AOC, Imphal. The application form is also provided in Annexure I of the scheme guidelines.

Step 2: The interested coaching centres must submit the duly filled application form, along with the supporting documents, to the Nodal Department.
