COP-37 (General Area) 50% Capital Subsidy Scheme for Project of Taluka & District Co-op. Purchase Sale Union

Financial Assistance: Provides a 50% capital subsidy to cooperative unions, with a maximum limit of ₹20,00,000/-.

Improved Services for Farmers: Enables unions to offer better and more diverse services to farmers, such as providing quality agricultural inputs, procuring produce at support prices, and offering modern processing and storage facilities.

Enhanced Infrastructure: Supports the development of infrastructure like storage godowns, processing units, and marketing channels, which benefits the entire agricultural supply chain.

Increased Market Access: Helps unions establish better marketing and branding of agricultural produce, potentially leading to better prices for farmers' products.

Taluka or District Cooperative Purchase and Sale Associations are eligible under this scheme.

Taluka and District Purchase and Sale Associations should have their own land.

Step 1: The Taluka or District Cooperative Purchase and Sale Union must prepare a proposal for the intended project.

Step 2: The proposal is to be submitted to the Registrar of Co-operative Societies, Gujarat State, Gandhinagar, through the Deputy Director and District Registrar Co-operative Societies of the respective district.

Step 3: Upon approval from the Department of Agriculture, Farmers Welfare and Co-operation, the subsidy amount will be disbursed to the union via the District Registrar's office.

Step 4: The assistance will be released in installments based on the level of work completed as per verified reports.

Utilization Certificate (post-completion for fund release).

Progress Report (for phased disbursement).
