âś… Eligibility Criteria

The farmer must either legally own agricultural land or have leased land for a minimum period of 10 years.

The nine selected species eligible for the grant must have been cultivated by the farmer at their own expense.

🚀 Application Process

Offline

To apply for under the grant scheme, a farmer must submit an application addressed to the Director, Centre for Aromatic Plants (CAP), Selaqui, Dehradun, either by post or in person at the CAP headquarters. The application should be accompanied by land records, Aadhaar card, and mobile number.

After receiving the application, CAP field personnel will conduct a field inspection of the applicant’s land. Based on the region’s agro-climatic conditions, they will recommend suitable aromatic crops from the nine species selected under the scheme and submit their report to the Director, CAP.

Upon approval, the farmer will begin cultivation of the recommended crops at their own expense. It is mandatory for the farmer to register with the CAP office within three months of starting aromatic cultivation. Within six months of receiving the registration form or registration number, the farmer must apply to the CAP office for the first installment of the subsidy in the prescribed format, along with bank account details. The application format can be downloaded from the CAP website (www.capuk.in).

After receiving the application, a committee headed by the District Coordinator will conduct another field inspection in the presence of the farmer and recommend the grant based on the actual cultivated area. The Grant Approval Committee at the Director level will then scrutinize and approve the grant applications.

Finally, 75% of the approved amount will be transferred directly to the farmer’s bank account by CAP as the first installment, and the remaining 25% will be released in the third year of aromatic cultivation, subject to plant survival verification. The application for the remaining 25% grant must be submitted following the same procedure as above.
