Under the scheme, an amount of ₹5,000/- will be given at the time of marriage of the girl child.

The applicant should be a girl who is 18 years of age or older at the time of application.

The applicant should be a native of Bihar.

The applicant's family should be Below Poverty Line (BPL) card holders.

The annual income of the applicant's family should not exceed ₹60,000/-.

The applicant should be marrying a boy who is 21 years of age or older.
