Scheme to Provide Assistance for Setting Up Farmer Support Centers in State Market Committees and for Computerization of All Market Committees

Name of the Component Standard of Assistance

To create farmer support center 50% of the cost incurred including manpower (employee salaries) or a maximum of ₹2,00,000/-, whichever is less.

To computerize the state market committees Central software will be developed by the state government.

For necessary hardware/software for computerization of State Market Committees For the necessary hardware/software for computerization of the market committees of the state, assistance of up to 90% or ₹2,00,000/- will be provided to the market committees of the state of “K” and “D” categories on the purchase of 2 computers, 2 printers, and software.

Market Committees of all areas of Gujarat State shall be eligible for this scheme.

Step 1: The Market Committee should submit a proposal to the Deputy Director and District Registrar, Cooperative Societies through the Director, Agricultural Market and Rural Economy, Gandhinagar.

Step 2: After verification, the proposal is forwarded to the Agriculture, Farmers Welfare, and Cooperation Department for approval.
