Health Screening in Schools: Free health check-ups in government schools to detect heart ailments at an early stage among children.

Free Cardiac Surgeries: Completely free cardiac surgeries for children up to 12 years of age who are diagnosed with heart ailments, ensuring no financial burden on families.

All children from 0 to 18 years are eligible.

Applicable to children residing in both rural and urban areas of West Bengal.

There is no income criterion; the scheme is open to all children regardless of their family's financial capacity.

The child must be diagnosed with a cardiac ailment requiring surgical intervention.

Offline

Step 1: Children diagnosed through Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram or other health check-ups are referred for further treatment.

Step 2: Parents or guardians can contact government hospitals or partner private hospitals for free surgery under the scheme.

Step 3: Hospitals handle the registration and approval process for eligible children.

Child’s birth certificate or age proof (below 18 years).

Medical records or diagnostic reports showing the heart ailment.

Identity proof of parents or guardians (Aadhaar card, Voter ID, etc.).

Any other documents as required.
