State Mountaineering Reward Scheme

A cash award of ₹25,000/-, a memento, and a certificate will be awarded to each of the adventurers of the state every year for their outstanding achievements in the field of mountaineering.

The applicant must be a native of Gujarat.

The applicant should have climbed a height of 7,000 meters once or a height of more than 6,000 meters twice.

The climbing achievement of the applicant must be confirmed by the Director of the Indian Mountaineering Foundation (IMF).

The applicant should not be involved in any criminal activity.

*This award can also be given posthumously, for which the legal heir of the awardee will have to apply.

Step 1: Visit to official website of the Sports, Youth & Cultural Activities Department, Government of Gujarat.

Step 2: Click on the "Schemes" section on the website. A list of available schemes will appear. From the list of schemes, select "State Mountaineering Reward Scheme."

Step 3: A new page will display the scheme details. Scroll down on this page to find and download the "Application Form for State Mountaineering Award (Annexure-A).

Step 4: Fill out the application form completely and clearly. Ensure all correspondence details, including telephone/mobile number, are clearly mentioned.

Step 5: Gather all necessary supporting documents as listed in the Documents Required section. Submit the application form along with the supporting documents in duplicate.

Step 6: Ensure the application is submitted within the stipulated time frame. Incomplete or unclear applications will not be accepted.

Step 7: The submitted applications will be scrutinised by the State Level Selection Committee. The final selection will be made by the state-level selection committee from the received applications.

Certificate from the Director of the Indian Mountaineering Foundation (IMF) (confirming climb of 7000 meters once or more than 6000 meters twice).

Certificate of Domicile (being a native of Gujarat).

Police Certificate (stating no involvement in criminal activity).

Application Form (in Annexure-A, in duplicate).
