Financial assistance: The scheme provides financial assistance to students from SC/ST communities to pursue their undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in various fields of study.

Field of study: The scholarship covers a wide range of fields of study, including Engineering and Management, Pure Sciences and applied sciences, Agriculture sciences and medicine, International Commerce, Economics, Accounting Finance, Humanities, Social science, fine arts, and law.

Merit-based: The scholarship is granted based on merit, and the selection process is highly competitive.

Income-based: The scholarship is available to students from families with an annual income of up to Rs 15 lakh.

Reservation: The scheme provides reservation for women and physically handicapped candidates, ensuring equal opportunities.

Residency: The applicant should be a permanent resident of Karnataka state in India.

Age Limit: The age limit to apply for this scheme is 21 years for undergraduate courses, and 35 years for postgraduate and doctoral programs.

Qualifying Marks: Candidates applying for the scholarship must have scored at least 55% marks or equivalent grade in their qualifying degree exams for postgraduate and doctoral courses, and 80% marks or equivalent grade in qualifying exams (PUC/12th class) for undergraduate courses.

Standardized Test Scores: The candidates should have cleared standardized tests like GRE/GMAT/TOEFL/IELTS exams with minimum score marks before applying for the scholarship.

Admission: Applicants should have secured admission into a full-time degree program at an overseas university/college.

Documents: The candidates must have the necessary documents like Aadhaar Card, Caste Certificate, Latest Income Certificate, Last 2 years IT Returns, Degree/Master Degree Convocation Certificate, Degree/Master Degree All Semester Marks Card, Offer letter from the university obtained, Copy of the Passport, and Tuition fee and maintenance fee as sent by the university.

Step 1: Check eligibility

Check if you meet the eligibility criteria mentioned for the scheme. Make sure you are a permanent resident of Karnataka State and that you fulfill the age limit and academic qualifications required for the field of study you are interested in. You should also have a valid passport.



Step 2: Select universities/colleges abroad

Make a list of the universities that you want to study and research abroad. Ensure that these universities offer full-time degree programs in your field of study and that they are recognized by the relevant authorities.



Step 3: Prepare necessary documents

Gather all the necessary documents required for the scholarship application, including your Aadhaar card, caste certificate, latest income certificate, last 2 years IT returns, degree/master degree convocation certificate, degree/master degree all semester marks card, offer letter from the university, copy of the passport, and tuition fee and maintenance fee as sent by the university.



Step 4: Take standardized tests

Before applying for the scholarship, you must pass GRE/GMAT/TOEFL/IELTS exams with minimum score marks as required. Ensure that you take these tests well in advance to have enough time for the application process.



Step 5: Apply for the scholarship

Apply for the scholarship online by visiting the official website and filling in the required details. Upload all the necessary documents, including the standardized test scores, offer letter from the university, and the tuition fee and maintenance fee details.



Step 6: Wait for selection results

After submitting the application, wait for the selection process to be completed. Once the selection process is completed, the results will be announced, and the selected candidates will be notified by email or other means.
