Scheme to Provide Electric Scooter to Disabled Person

Financial Assistance: Up to the limit of 50% of the basic cost of the electric scooter + 50% of the disability kit or ₹25,000/-.

The applicant must be a resident of Gujarat.

The applicant must be between 18 to 50 years of age.

The applicant must have an orthopedic disability of 40% or more, certified by a civil surgeon.

The applicant must possess a Disability Identity Card issued by the Social Security Department.

The applicant must be listed in the BPL (Below Poverty Line) category with a score of 0 to 20.

The applicant must not have already availed benefits under this scheme in the last five years, unless the previously allotted electric scooter is damaged and the applicant remains otherwise eligible.

The applicant must purchase the electric scooter from an agency approved by JEDA at the government-approved price.

Note: The applicant will be given priority if their name appears in the SECC-2011 (Socio-Economic Caste Census) data.

Step 1: Applications will be received under this scheme by publishing an advertisement.

Step 2: Obtain and fill out the application form (available free of cost).

Step 3: Submit the completed application form with required documents to the district-level office.

Step 4: Eligible applicants are selected via computerized draw.
